 Peter’s general litigation practice encompasses a wide range of areas including commercial, energy, professional liability, employment, family and insurance.  He represents public and private sector interests in regulatory matters and privacy matters under the Personal Information Protection Act and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.  His clients include individuals, corporations operating in a variety of sectors, educational institutions, health service providers and members of regulated health professions.A significant portion of Peter's practice is focused on estate litigation. He has significant experience working with executors, beneficiaries and claimants in estate-related disputes. Peter also has significant experience advising on estate-planning and administration. His representative capabilities in estate matters include the following:

• Representing executors, administrators and claimants at the Court of Queen's Bench 
• Defending attorneys who have acted pursuant to an enduring power of attorney 
• Defending parties who have acted in the capacity of executor or administrator
• Preparing wills, enduring powers of attorney and personal directives
• Assisting executors and administrators with the administration estates
• Negotiating resolutions to contentious estate-related disputes
• Preparing, filing and completing applications for administration or probate
• Preparation of documents for applications for trusteeship and guardianship

Peter has appeared before the Court of Queen’s Bench, the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Appeal as well as various administrative boards and tribunals. He has assisted with matters before the Federal Court of Appeal, the Canada Transportation Agency and the National Energy Board of Canada.
