Morris was a founding partner of Thornborough Smeltz LLP and was a pillar of the firm until his retirement in June, 2024.  He passed away on May 6, 2025 at the age of 80 years, and will be greatly missed by his colleagues, friends, and the clients he served faithfully over many years of practice.

Prior to establishing his practice in Calgary, Morris practiced law in Manitoba until 1981.

Morris primarily practiced in the areas of corporate and commercial law, real estate conveyancing, and wills and estates. His integrity and dedication to helping clients achieve their goals was reflected in the long standing relationships he had developed throughout his career.

Morris received his Queen’s Counsel Appointment in 1980 in Manitoba.
